CHAMP Camp strives to bring a sense of independence and self-esteem to kids who have
been through surgery to correct heart issues. Children and their parents can either choose
the overnight camp or a day camp, both with similar activities. Speaking of activities
children get a chance to participate in swimming, horseback riding, canoing, hiking, rock
climbing, and thats just a few of the many things that they can do. The camp and these
activities are monitored at all times by qualified nurses to make sure that everyone is safe
and happy. A doctor is also on call twenty-four hours a day for extra peace of mind.

Children with Heart Abnormalities have Much Potential
Our Mission
A true miracle, CHAMP Camp is sponsored by our office, St. Francis nurses,
Healing Hearts and The American Heart Association. We have to give a special
thanks to all the kids for making it so worth while for us, Debi Lammert who
coordinates the whole camp and Dr. Ranne who has been involved in more than
one water fight up at the camp.

CHAMP Camp is located at Shepherd's Fold Ranch in Avant, Oklahoma. A forty
minute drive from Tulsa this camp is in some of the most beautiful and lush
hillsides of middle America. The main lodge building overlooks the volleyball pit,
lake, corral and is right next to the over sized swimming pool. Just down the
road is the camp store, first aid office and campers' cabins.
